I ask you to consider definately NOT closing Meander Primary. There may be lots of other reasons for and against, but I suggest its record as a school where any student could acquire the educational foundation for ANY career is the most significant argument in favour of keeping it open. One of my own two children is now a medical doctor (as she dreamed) and the other is at WAAPA studying acting (her dream). Largely thanks to the wonderful start they received at Meander Primary.

To develop community resilience, we need to be decentralising all services, and primary education is the most important of these. Don't take the children away from their communities. Throw away the economic rationalism and look at the real cost of closing schools.
Look to the future beyond this election cycle, beyond this generation and make the right decision for the future of our species on this planet.
