It provides the only public lake access to tourists and locals. It is used year round, with cross country ski trails in the winter and fabulous horseback riding/swimming in the summer. If this park is no longer funded, people will go there anyway and ruin it. There will be no one to enforce the park rules, littler and fire danger are a real hazard in this area. Plus, I thought this was a Centennial Park. Isn't is protected? Please save it!

It is the soul reason I moved here to this area. I stood there at the foot of this lake and felt like I found heaven on earth. I take my dogs there a couple of times a week to walk the beach. It is our highlight of our summer activities to bring the grandchildren there to play in the sand and have picnics. We cross country ski there in the winter. People camp here so they can be close to the city of Leavenworth. The city will lose out too!

I have been back several times since, The Greater Wenatchee area and the Wenatchee valley are very beautiful. It would be a shame to close Lake Wenatchee State Park.
