A lone cyclist can cause congestion. Expansion of existing schools in areas where the roads and infrastructure can cope would appear to be a better option without encroaching on green belt and protected species.
Road safety, safety of the children at the school, given the proximity to the cut, environmental issues and increased pressure on an area which cannot cope are reasons which I believe should halt this proposal.

We consider the proposed school would put children lives at risk and be damaging to the historic water meadows. The road is hazardous for cyclists and we find it extremely difficult to pull out of our house in the morning. A survey should be carried out to measure the number of cars that travel along the road between 8am and 9:30am. We estimate its already over 2000, we are also very concerned about heavy construction traffic which would be needed to build the school causing further risk on the road and congestion. We believe that there are better sites that could be allocated for this development. Any computer modelling of expected traffic levels with growth over the next few years will show this is a totally unviable site devoid of any rational thought and not fit to be the place for a new school.
