From ecosystem services, to crawfish boils, housing Cajuns, to feeding fodder to the allegator lore, to protecting communities from surging hurricanes, the wetlands provide a great service to all forms of life. It would be the greatest of shames to continue to allow it to be destroyed until there was nothing left.

I know it will take a lot of money. I think we are all; we should set up a ? to allow people to come and spend time planting and working on these wetlands. Big companies could allow their workers to work on the wetlands a week out of the year which wouldnt come out of their vacation time. Just one of many ideas that can help.

We may differ on how to use the resources and which are more important, but the citizens of this state and country should not overlook the responsibility it has to the delta region, specifically LA.
