I pay for my boys and don't agree all the money foes to there needs and I lose out on being able to spoil them at all with not being able to claim half of them at tax time and in the end it's my children that lose out and the govt that gains yet again....

I believe that some of these people getting child support abuse the system and it needs to change. The person paying has to live in poverty just to make those payment I don't believe that is fair at all. when the couple were together as a family you did not spend 1400.00 plus dollars on two kids per month. And then make all your other house hold payments and buy groceries ect, its time to change this. When the payee overpays for a child they never get that back, after they are done support payments but if they make a couple of dollars more a year they take that away from them. Does not sound fair at all.

When separated parents fight over money that isn't necessarily needed in the child's household, and is just wanted out of greed (in some cases of course) a child will experience resentment and anger. It really isn't fair to the kids!!!!

The fact that child support is based on a person's gross income (before taxes) is the part which is even more unfair! How can you require a person to have the amount of child support paid be based on income they don't even receive?!?! I also couldn't agree more with the fact that what maintenance enforcement expects a parent to pay is almost always far more than what it actually costs to raise a child!! It takes BOTH parents to raise a child- that includes the time, efforts AND financial responsibilities. Far too often, I have seen both women and men take advantage of their spouse with regards to their finances and it is very unfortunate that our government would endorse this type of behaviour!! It also sickens me to hear women speak about having more children just to ensure they have a guaranteed income!! And then to see the poor children of these women go without basic needs due to selfishness and personal greed for themselves....

Even worse, that amount of money is just off the guidelines chart. It doesn't include sec 7's or child care. Which should be negotiable or included. Also, the woman's wage should be taken into more consideration as I had to pay for two children Over 2000$ And she made 140,000 one year.
Something needs to be done about this. Governed laws need to be looked at and changed!
