I am a life long Albertan, a certified teacher, and a Roman Catholic. I believe this legislation to be a first step to removing the Catholic school districts in Alberta, disregarding how they were the first public educators. It also implies that Catholics are bigots who want to mistreat homosexuals instead of dong what they currently do which is reinforce that every child is valuable and worth our attention the way they are born. Forcing us to enact legislation that goes against our belief that we cannot change who we are when we are born when it comes to gender, a belief supported by science as no one has figured out if you can change chromosonal gender identity, is unreasonable and unscientific.
