She went above and beyond the call of duty. To run the programs as smoothly as she did takes dedication as well as great organizational and communication skills. In addition, she created a fun, exciting environment. She made it a point to get to know the participants and make everyone feel welcomed. I am disapointed in the decision to let her go, and feel that this decision reflects very negatively on the City.

No other city league program I have participated in (such as soccer and basketball) has had a city representative come out and cheer on each and every team. Shelli is a busy, hard working employee of the city. This is another example (like shutting down the after-school programs) of how the City of Olympia is not looking out for the best interest of the community. Inexcusable.
