At present shoppers are squashed onto a pavement only wide enough for one person at a time.
Parking adjacent to the shops is so limited that bulky shopping is very difficult.
Prices are higher in Williton than in Taunton and Minehead, hence the outflow of shoppers to these towns. Those who have no car have to pay inflated Williton prices, and the beneficiaries of this are not just the small shops but also the Coop and Spar Supermarkets.
Parking, lower prices and more space for pedestrians woouls help to retain spending in Williton and reduce traffic to Taunton and Minehead.

The current set up of supermarkets is dangerous as to shop at the stores you have to carry all your shopping across the high street.
A supermarket with designated parking would be of great benefit.
