There is a usage amount for water divided amongst the community regardless of how much or less a unit may use doesn't matter as I know for a FACT that one month for example, in a depression state, I did not shower but once and did no laundry at all and yet, my water has almost tripled in amount. Trash just for my unit is billed around $20 per month which multiplied by the other residents would far exceed a normal monthly trash amount since there is only 4 dumpsters for the community that are provided. Coincidentally, this month, I paid my portion of rent early and still on the sixth of the month received 30 days to pay or vacate claiming I still owed $111.00 in rent and zero in utilities which was NOT accurate since the utilities WERE the $111.00 which includes the required renters insurance. I find it questioning that we are told Yes Energy is a third party billing separate from the property but I found that although they charge an admin fee and bill on their letterhead, the money paid directly goes to the landlord aka property that is actually just using a software. The online portal is provided by RentCafe which is Yardi Systems and Yardi Systems also is Yes Energy and Weidner Property Managements website and online resident portal is none other than powered by RentCafe which is fraud and conflict of interest to say the least. I also find it interesting that said property company is an LLC as are majority and they are not paying any form of taxes at all, requiring residents to carry renters liability which doesn't cover the renter at all and do not disclose whatsoever to the resident that at any time that the manager sees fit, can lock the resident out of their online portal account at any time thereby preventing payment of utilities, renters insurance, viewing lease documents, renewing lease, submitting maintenance requests and viewing ledger charges and fees and by doing so prevent payment on rent as well and then serving the resident with eviction notice etc. No representative from Yes Energy makes trips from Colorado to read any meters at our property at all. In fact, I don't even know where the meters are located and if there are meters, the resident should be shown where to monitor their own themselves. I assume the property is billed by the local water, sewer and trash companies monthly and that monthly bill is then divided amongst the residents with those that pay having to cover those that don't etc. There's no accountability at all and while the property and Yardi get richer, the resident's continue to struggle just to live as I know for a fact that this property has a very HIGH turnover rate and contracts with HUD/VASH fraudulently and no one seems to question any of it.

I wanted to know how I could register for it if I never received any information about them through their company. He said I’m not supposed to their company is. This is without my permission I would not have agreed to sign with a third party company that can estimate how much utility I use if they meters stop working or if I paid my rent late one time and have a previous balance they charge me every month for a late fee even if I paid my rent on time. I always paid my rent before the 5th, which is required by my state, if u don’t want a late fee. Unfortunately, the 5th fell on a Friday and when I tried to pay with my card because I couldn’t make it to the bank to get a money order, the payment wouldn’t go through for some reason. So I wasn’t able to pay til Monday morning making me go past the 5th. That caused my $50 late charge, I tried to speak with someone about it but this apartment complex has been very neglectful. So because I had this previous balance of $50, even tho I paid my rent on time every month after that, which is the law in my state. Yes, a company I was never aware of, and would not have registered for, decided to charge me $50 every month after that. I still don’t have access to the account and my lease is about to be up. So I won’t have any control over unsubscribing to this ridiculousness.
