The Farmers Market is the heart and soul of Midland we have to have a well thought out plan before just up rooting what people have grown accustom to. The Farmers Market deserves the best plan of action! Please sign this petition, Farmers and Consumers alike relie on the Farmers Market. It is the one good thing we have left to remind us of our leinage as Farmers. This move of the Farmers Market should not be taken lightly and needs to be planned out well. If you also feel this way also, again I ask please sign Eric Anders Petition to not have The Farmers Market moved to Putnam Park. By choosing to engage in their endeavor secretly, inviting select groups of people and completely ignoring the citizenry and thinking they could stuff this down everyone's throat, showed a complete lack of respect and understanding for the people who live here, who shop here, who love this city and have always supported it. Anything Momentum Midland, et. al, tries to do in the future, will be met with suspicion and distrust. They have earned it. City Council, you should be ashamed of yourselves for supporting this because no doubt, it would have been strongly 'recommended' to the Planning Commission to approve the relocation and you would have heartily passed it on through without the support of the people who have conscientiously put you in office. Thank you Eric Anders and so many others who have voiced your opinions and excellent research and determination. Let's have a relocated Farmer's Market someday, but not in Putnam Park. Let's use common sense.
