Please rid Australia of this industrial waste in our water, particularly when the effects on our bones and many chemical processes of our body are absolutely not conclusively researched. Heck, people only started getting into really using a tooth brush every day in the 1950's when education of sugar acidity was being promoted. Must we repeat history and interfere with the balance of nature. A brain- medical research scientist assures me that scientists still don't really understand how the brain works - and that the brain and all the body's parts and chemicals do, in fact, work together! That is: neurotransmitters, hormones, enzymes etc. We need our environment to be as pure as possible to support our bodies. Water is a huge life and health source, so should be highly respected for its natural properties. How dare we, yet again, be so foolish to jeopardise the health of fellow human beings again; all in the name of politics and profit!! Come on, wake up!! Science (Dentistry) is funded by companies / governments for profits. The wonders of nature are still FAR beyond human understanding, so if it's not broke, don't fix it (especially when we don't know what we're doing).

I see no reason why drinking water should be fluoridated. I take care of my teeth just fine. When you drink water not much of it even hits your teeth so how is this an effective method of applying fluoride to the teeth?
