I was misinformed by Landgate, given incorrect information by SCA, Consumer Affairs referred me back to Landgate. Legal Aid suggested I get a lawyer, however I have not proceeded at this point because of the expense and the distress, but sold my unit and would never buy into strata again. For 20 years we had excellent strata managers, but it only takes one to ruin it.

If some real estate agents stand to profit more from misleading buyers, and there is currently no monitoring or accountability in terms of information they are required to give, there should be.
To allow one person in a strata title to ignore the rest of the owners, and do something to the property that may have negative outcomes for all is very undemocratic.
