The laws have gone to far and are catching persons who do not need to be placed on a list or to be suffering the restrictions imposed. Yes violent offenders, child molesters, and rapist do need restrictions but others that are less serious, Level 1 and 2 offenders that have paid their debt to society deserve a chance to reintegrate back into society. The offender laws cost a lot of money yearly and with so many law enforcement agency's needing more funds it would make sense to use the money for those that are the worst and most dangerous. They serve the time and pay for life. Unable to obtain employment (or if able it isn't anything to make a living on) or decent housing and destorying families is all this does. Singling out one crime isn't fair needs to be all and the restrictions and laws need to be looked at and revised to allow a person to regain his freedom after serving time. I'm a mother of three under 6 and I'm also a wife of a man currently serving his 5 year sentence with life time sex offender registery. Thanks to the laws our (as well as other families of sex offenders) family won't be able to live without humiliation and enjoy activities that families often do. No more family outtings or afternoons at the park, no family involvement at school....Yes I do these things but when my husband has SERVED his time and we find him a place (WHEN & IF) he can not take part in these. We can not even live under the same room. Things need to change for and more resources to help sex offenders & families

People being put on a registry for minor offenses should be considered as being punitively and need to be removed and the laws need to be changed. If someone is dangerous enough to be as closely monitored and isolated as most registries require then that person should be dealt with accordingly.
