However recent responses by republicans to President Obama's gun control initiatives are forcing me to reconsider my republican support.</p> <p>We have laws for everything that restrict our freedoms i.e. daycare centers, old folks homes, driving a car, owning a business, school circulums, environment, food. Law are passed to protect innocent people.</p> <p>Clearly, more gun control is needed in our country which is errupting with violence in public places. And there should be no sales of military style weapons anywhere in the US. Why would republicans try to block something that simple common sense dictates.
