If we give them a driver's license and put them on the road then why not vote. Many understand and debate political issues very well. It does appear that there are people who have th right to vote and don't exercise it, because they don't care. So we should go after a population that is politically charged.
So I say let 'em VOTE ...

I think/hope that any 16 year old that takes the time to vote will have carefully considered the issues and not just voted as their parent/church tells them to. Maybe to sooth the old folks, their could be a quiz given to make sure the 16 year old voter understood the issues.
