A fila is a very loyal dog. It's not the breeds fault but bad ownership and really irritates me! My mom's filas even had a chihuahua puppy plus a cat, and were so loving to these animals. If you know the breed then you know how to handle them. let people who know filas own the breed as we know how best to deal with a dog.
And yeah they may not be friendly in public, but would you if crazy people kept wanting to pet you?

They are protective of property and land what reason is this to bann them. The doberman is not much different many will show agression towards strangers thats why owners have sign posts at their property the Fila is no different other than it is better with childern than most
