As well as hosting WORLD & British Championship events, it provides a much needed practise facility to the growing number motocross participants.

As demonstrated in other areas, closing facilities like Matchams will only serve to increase levels of illegal riding, noise polution and even anti-social behaviour.

Please consider alternative venues for your plans.

My son belongs to a local youth motocross club and has used the Matchams motocross track on many occasions both for practice and racing. This is one of the best tracks in the country and it would be a great loss to the many youngsters who enjoy their hobby. Without organised tracks like this one, the youngsters will have nowhere to undertake their sport.
