This questions is to the policy makers of the Indian High Commission. We dont carry here a bag of hard cash as rich people in India do. We can only withdraw £300 a day from cash machine. If application is for 4-5 people, it's too much cash to carry. I dont seem to remember getting a payment recept in proper HMRC format. Is this policy to avoid taxes in the UK? What is the root cauase of this policy?

I dont inderstand when will hci undertsand that they need to make the process simple for the general public and not for themselves, after all their service is for the people, by the people and of the people.

Everyone that works there is of Indian origin and also from India - from my experience this usually mean their customer service skills are not up to scratch for UK standards.

The wait to see someone is horrific! Why is there not a better procedure in place? It's such a shame, due to the poor quality of staff they have given the High commision a terrible reputation!

They had spoiled the childhood of my son but still they had no regret. I am missing my minor son for last more than nine years because of these useless persons. People warned me about the service but still I was amazed/shocked with service and conditions at CGI.

Here are few things to mention:

- So ill-organised.
- Employees are so rude. They behave like they are doing a favour to people who go there.
- I don't think employees have any sort of peoples skills or such sort of training
- Last but not lease, toilets are are shocking

Whole thing makes you feel like ashamed of being an Indian

So sad.

I went there for my sons passport, downloaded all the forms from website and when I tried to submit the application they said some of the forms are changed and gave me a model form and asked me to go and take the photocopy. I was saying in the form to sign by both parent. Luckily my wife was with me. Some other people came in for the same was instructed to go and come back. When we pointed out the fact, they website is maintaining in Delhi so they can't do any thing. This was so embarrassing and wish never go there. This is not acceptable because we are paying a lot of money for these services but the staff treat these a favour from their side. This is against consumer law. We actually need staff with bit of commen sence. One thing we have to understand Indian companies or Indian engineers controlling most of the bank transactions and ATMs around the globe but Indian embassy hasn't got a facility to pay by card. This is a shame for us.

Those inefficient staff should be sacked

Malyalees go to hell. Indian Constitution Says equal rights to all Citizen, So Why this inequality ? Some front office Malayalees officers behave Worse than any others. Foreigners who visit consulate get a the feel of Indian bureaucracies and inefficiencies, the moment they step in. Shame on you , who rules India. NRI'S contribute to Indian economy like no one else in world, still we are treated like second class citizens.
