I know that he is not a bad person at all whatsoever and therefore I believe that he does not deserve to be or belong in prison. I strongly believe that the sentence he and Richard Montes is way too harsh. It is also in my belief that he was targeted by the Feds simply because of the video that was released on youtube. If it were not for that video, he would not have been targeted the way he was. It is in my belief that Mr. Scarmazzo was acting in accordance with state laws governing the sales of medical marijuana. I honestly believe that if he thought or believed what he was doing was wrong, he would not have been doing it in the first place. Even if it went against Federal laws, the state laws allowed him to do what he was doing. Therefore, if the Feds believed that he was breaking a law, he should have been properly informed ahead of time in order find a way to legitimize it under federal law, or to close down his business. The fact that he was not informed and simply arrested and convicted goes to show that he was simply targeted due to the video he released on youtube. I myself pray that I will be able to legally use marijuana for my illness one day. I suffer from horrible pain, and everyday is a intense fight just to work my 8 hours. Soon I may no longer be able to do this. Pain meds help some but I can only sleep about 2 hours a night.
