I have also been clipped by cyclists and my on lead dog was also hurt by one cyclist, who didn't stop to apologise. I'm fed up with the inconsiderate cyclists making it a no-go zone for people who just want to wander along the canal, without checking over their shoulder every two seconds to see if they are about to be ploughed down. Most don't use their bells also.

I cannot walk my dogs at the Canal anymore because of aggressive, high speeding cyclists. The dogs are scared and so am i. One of my friends is a bicycle courier and even she said, she would NEVER race like that on the canal.
I also see young families which are too scared to stay on the Canal path. It seems impossible, to walk with a pram or with toddlers in tow.
Cyclist even race on the (provisional) bridge at York Way.
