We won the trial on 15+ charges of negligence in 2014 and my case was the longest running trial in Cape Town. The SCA ignored the entire trial ruling, the majority of evidence/facts in the case and all charges against the boat owners. They went against all legal protocol by doing so. They have not been able to provide a legal reason why they acted in this manner. Therefore, I am starting my own petition for the implementation of shark cage diving regulations....since there are currently NONE...only recommendations in the most dangerous segment of South African tourism!!! By overturning all 15+ charges of negligence in my case, the SCA has basically said it's OK for tour operators to act negligently and kill tourists in accidents.... and without any punishment or legal accountability whatsoever??? The 5 Supreme Court judges in my case need to be held accountable to laws just like any other criminal on trial.
