Provided self-addressed return post spending 7£, followed up after four weeks and on 5th week received passport with an error in name. It seems it’s a deliberate attempt to torture people. It’s not over. Continuously called 200 times for 3days, sent emails no response. Finally decided to go to CGI Birmingham again spending 68£ on train tickets as my travel date was nearing. Staffs were not supportive even though it’s their mistake. Even a blind, deaf & dumb cannot make this mistake because it’s just a renewal - with same content and new expiry date. Careless bunch of useless staff work in this organisation on the expense of Indians to torture Indians. Attitude of staff is really horrible, they think they are superior and we are all slaves and they forget their duty of serving Indians .I Hope at least one responsible official will read and take some action to streamline this process.

i got a Number i called and got thru, at 1st they didnt wana talk then i forced their hand to work with me. from the onset they WHERE provided with all the relevant docs so ther's no stalling and Excuses from these TWATS! but they just couldnt find anything on her, i got mad and threatend to go down in person. then they did all the enquiries after me spending HOURS re-providing them with un-neccesarry info and i did!

now they have nothing on file (HOW INCOMPETENT CAN ONE GET?)

THE MATTER IS STILL UN-RESOLVED I CAN TELL YOU WHY TOO? GIVE THEM MONEY ON THE SLY AND THEYLL SORT IT! IM STILL WORKING ON IT. IM GONA GET IT DONE EITHER BY HOOK OR CROOK!

IF I DO GO DOWN THEN I WILL SHOW THEM SOO MUCH TROUBLE STARTING WITH THE 1000'S OF INDIAN PASSPORTS THEY HAVE SOLD WITHOUT THE OWNERS CONSENT!

Nationals of other countries are enabled dual nationality whist our government has made it more difficult even to travel and invest in our own country. On my application form for visa a staff saw my British passport showing my birth as being India as though it was a crime. I was told lie to the police about my previous passport being stolen or lost in order to obtain visa. This is criminal against British law. I wish to bring this to the attention of Mr Narendra Modi. I hope he can help with the plight of NRI'S living abroad.

Better facilities at the consulate. There are no instructions or information. The consulate appears closed in the afternoon and if it wasn't for the queue outside, I would not have known that they are functioning.

Courteous staff with some sense of time management as 2hours turn into 6hours before any information is forthcoming.

When in a foreign county, standards need to be raised not dropped! It does not need to be a stressful experience for all concerned.
