Lake Stevens Family is a unique Human Service organization that is open to everyone and provides a place to turn to access resources that are available yet not always known about. Many peoples lives have been changed because of the help they have received from the Family Center. To discontinue helping to fund this valuable resourse is unthinkable. This community desperately needs this Human Services connection in Lake Stevens.

This is a request to the City to continue the Human Service funding.

What kind of a community do we wish to shape? If a small boat on our lake experienced a leak, are we the kind of people who would let it sink . . . or would we rally alongside it to get it safely to shore? When we fund human services, we enable every Lake Stevens resident to receive support in a time of distress so they can re-emerge as stronger and productive citizens. On the other hand, every person we allow to "sink" diminishes not only their potential, but also the long-term stability of our community.
