Having a home arena that is 10.5 miles away when there are 3 local arenas within 4.5 miles doesn't make much sense. Discovery Ridge is in the city of Calgary and we should have the right to play for a Calgary-based association. The added risk of driving on dark icy roads multiple times a week, like we experienced for weeks in November, makes me nervous about the safety of my family. Accidents on two lane highways are head-ons not fender benders.
