I got a great education in all things mechanical and was hired right out of school as a dealership technician making good money. But not so good that $900 a month payments to Sallie Mae were no big deal. I was going broke so I had to lower my payments. Sallie Mae's extended re-payment plan (which is all I can afford and still a lot at $700+ a month) ensures I will be in repayment indefinitely. I hope something good happens soon.
