Research other schools who have recently done it and find out what they do. Come together as faculty and staff to foster the importance of it. A few years ago, I came into some money and wrote two faculty members of my desire to contribute to the fund of a performing arts center (which I thought had been long in existence since the school has rumored of a new building since the early 90's to rest right up against Presser Hall). Those two emails went unanswered, which I found out of character and odd. I wrote a follow up email to the former Dean asking why faculty members don't respond to music alumni which also went unanswered. I assumed that maybe I was out of touch of the mission and future of the school and have put it out of my mind. The establishment of the univ. archives and history of such things as the Beckerath organ and the long history of fine music education at Stetson led me to this petition. I supposed i'll always be a devoted Hatter and Stetson will always be close to my heart. Emails may go ignored, faculty come and go but Stetson is with me forever. A concert hall is integral to a successful Music School.
