Love them both, I am from Australia and I have visited Goathland twice so far due to my love for the series which gave us many many years of absolute enjoyment.
I am now enjoying The Royal which is also airing on Australian TV and love it!
Both these productions are a wonderful a tribute to Yorkshire, which I think is the most beautiful part of England!

Both programs show a down to earth way of life with difficulties we do not encounter today.
Also a exelent sense of humour shown in both programs.
I was told the money ran out on the Heart beat program but they make much money selling them on its just a case of reinvesting the proceeds.
The Royal must be brought back a all costs "they know it makes sense"
