THe webcast was always unavailble and limited range on FM broadcast. The giant mast of Radio Avalon was a key part of the site and its wide variety of presenters enabled to macrocosm of the festival to be reflected in the microcosm of the radio station. Whilst I understood and predicted the return of the license to the festival organisation I don't think the best was made of this fantastic medium to increase access to it.

It was a myopic mistake to discard RA without discussion. RA has a proud and innovative grassroots lineage, now swapped for a bland and un(trust)worthy emission. Those involved should respect and work with the legacy, not act like little corporate sluts. It would be good to hear why Evis chose to give away the license.
Was the license really secured by nepotism?
