Tabett had one litter. When my mother's toy poodle had a litter, the mama dog became ill and had to be bottle fed. My pit bull took over the mothering. They would cuddle up to the Pit and try to nurse from her, they crawled all over her, when they got out of their little bed she would pick them up and gently carry them off to their bed.
She died at age 14.
