The city of Salina should not have him represent thier fine town. I had to have my son eat his PB&J sandwich outside in his singlet because this guy would not let us eat it inside the front doors, my wife told me that he and his group of office personel were calling me names and laughing about my cooler getting put behand a chain and padlocked door and him telling me that I hid my cooler behind a table and ran to hide. I am a father of 5 kids and a firefighter I do not hide from no one or nothing, I put my cooler out of the way so someone would not steal it.

Frankly when the only food options are not healthy (frankly all junk food), it really messes with the kids' systems. We travel over 3 hours every year to come from KC, pay for hotels, and eat meals in Salina. We also go to Omaha and Tulsa each year, which are also at large civic arena type buildings. We are never searched and treated at these other tournaments like we are in Salina. We bring in our own food and drinks at these other tournaments with no problems. Wrestles can't perform on hotdogs and nachos. We won't be back if things don't change. We brought 17 wrestlers this year and are definitely keeping our eyes and ears open for
another "regional/national" tournament to attend next year on this weekend.

As a mother of an infant the facility was not very family friendly especially since the tournament went from 8am until 10pm. How we were treated there by the security and the high prices for everything since you could not bring in healthier food and drinks was unacceptable. I think it is easier to get into a Cheifs game than this facility.

I also was disgusted at how the referree's neglected two of my sons' matches and lost the whole tournament because of it. I felt very uncomfortable going in and probably will not be returning to this tournament if it does not change.

The security was very rude and had a "Fort Know" style approach to not only adults but to the kids as well. We must be allowed to offer our athletes healthy snacks and beverages. Having a $5 door charge would be reasonable if we were allowed to bring in our own. A family of 5 providing they only eat breakfast and lunch, would be approximately $80. As the event went well past dinner, those forced to purchase dinner were left with minimal options and still incurring ridiculous costs. This must change or most of those who attended will continue to look for an alternative venue or event all together.
