We take large doses of pain medications while we are managing our own pain & if we present at hospital for pain relief it means we are unable to bring pain levels down. Yet we are treated as low life drug addicts. We need the medical professional to understand what CRPS is & how to treat us in a manner that is helpful to us, not to make our condition worse. Education is extremely important in treating us with compassion, not be treated with malice. We suffer 24/7 365 days a year, from horrid pain levels that are extremely hard to bring under control. We are trying to bring this to the attention of all areas of the medical profession , we demand to be treated fairly & with compassion. Just as any other person who has any other medical condition.

I walked 4 miles on the treadmill. I woke up and couldn't put a shoe on. I was diagnosed with a stress fracture that never healed. My left foot was eventually diagnosed having rsd I also have fibromyalgia. I work with autistic children but my foot is in constant pain. I cannot wear a shoe the only thing that I can wear is an ace bandage with a surgical shoe. I have a spinal cord stimulator. The trial worked better than the real one.

Pain management is VERY important AND ANYONE can suddenly come down with this disease at anytime from just a bump or a sprain. It then travels to other parts of the body and keeps spreading.

We live in pain 24/7 and although on the out side we may not look sick as the way other illness may make you look, but it doesn't mean that something is not wrong with us. With other illness you have a chance for a cure with this MONSTER you don't have that chance.

Until those 3 little letters entered my life, I was a professional working dancer/actress/singer, and now I can barely get out of bed in a day. To be in that kind of pain and then further encounter the humiliation of doctors not being allowed!!!!! to give us the necessary pain medication just to take the edge off and live a disabled life is inhumane. Please reconsider what you do!!!
