The approach of the principal is to place blame on the parents that are "complaining" rather than to address the real issues. As a result, my son was continually teased and bullied about his weight. He used to like school but now cries every morning and begs not to go. The principal has some nerve to wonder why we have such disdain for her when she has completely failed to ensure the safety of our children. I have lost all respect for Riverside Unified School Distrcit. All they care about is protecting their reputation and they actually have the audacity to claim they care about the students. Actions, or lack there of as the case may be, speaker much louder. It should be illegal to allow such conduct. Maybe if this Act passes, the administrators will enforce their own policies and follow through with the appropriate action plans and consequences for bullying. Merely having a policy is not enough. It must be enforced and if the law requires it, then maybe they will actually do it. Until then, they will only care about creating paper trails to protect their own careers, not the kids.

I have always read books to the kids about it and talked about kindness. I believe the kids who bully are being bullied by someone at home or they are not being educated about how it affects people their entire life. Ignorance is the main reason people bully.
