Would the HOA rather have a rickety mobile basketball backboard that looks terrible or a state of the art, top of the line in ground system? I would even agree to proper upkeep of it or removal at my cost.

I think it is wrong that this could possibly be taken away. This neighborhood should be geared to accommodate families with children.
I don't think the portables should be allowed because they look cheap and fall over during high wind storms, however the $$ in-ground goal like the Calliers should be allowed. I vote YES, please let The Whitley Place install basketball goals.

As a matter of fact we where thinking of getting our childred one this last christmas.

Glad I did not let me children down!

I belive that the portable goals look worse than in ground.

Our neiborhood is filling up with young families with a good number of children and they need positive things to do.

As long your neighbors are ok with the goal and its kept up there should be no reason not to be able one at your home.
