I can agree with both sides that the rule could be changed or that it should not but I believe that if youth want to stay eligible for college and earn scholarship then USBC should eliminate the eligibility that allows Jrs. to bowl in Adult and PBA tournaments so that it keeps the two worlds seperate.

With the cost of tuitions i cannot believe your organization would take away opportunities for college kids to continue with the chance of winning scholarship dollars. Do you realize that without scholarship bowling, a student athlete would have to go on tour to continue to earn money from bowling, causing a student to choose either school or sport. how absurd !!! FYI, some childern have disabilities that causes delays in their secondary schooling !!!

Mr. Kent Smith, Boiling Springs, SC
I have been involved with youth bowling as a participant, coach, or board member since 1971. The age limit of 22 has worked well all of those years, I see no reason to change it now.

I do not believe the national youth committee did enough research to determine the effects of an age reduction. I believe it is a power play by the bowling proprietors to get on the good side of the governing bodies for international competition.

Do not implement this change !!!

To make a change like this so abruptly caused a sort of panic in some people. I was talking to some people at my last tournament about it and they were already trying to find a way that they could balance school, work and an adult league since they would no longer be bowling their normal junior league due to this new rule. I hope for the sake of bowlers present and future, that you guys reinstate 22 as the limit.

Marquin Allison, Hemet, CA, United States of America
I know that I just started bowling 6 months ago at the age of 17. There is so much that I love about the game and there are many things that I need to learn too. Being able to be with the youth coaches is a blessing. Although every kid wants to be an adult in a hurry this would not be one of those times. I don't want to stop bowling because I am in school and being in an adult league would not be good for my grades or lifestyle. I don't want to give up the game just because of a timeframe.
