I feel the same way now that I live in Woodford Green. I think all postcodes from IG1 to IG8 except IG7 need to be changed to official London postcodes. It really bugs me that my mail says Essex even though I live in a London borough and it annoys me that I share IG with Chigwell, Loughton and Buchurst Hill.

The local theatre is at risk of closure and it’s actually ideally located for touring shows only people think it’s far too far away to get to. When in fact it’s close than many ‘london’ theatres in the west of the city. Changing postcode would change perception of the area. Also let’s not forget the cross rail will come through we don’t want investment and opportunity to stop at Stratford.
