Save the Turkey Track Shooting Range

Some residents of Douglas County Colorado plan on challenging the usage of the Turkey Track Shooting Range. Citing the recent fire activity at the range these residents want stricter regulation, including the possible closure of this range. Currently the range is located off of a well-developed highway that allows for quick and easy access for emergency personnel, should an emergency arise. Closure or stricter regulation of this range may ultimately push patrons of the range into nearby parts of National Forest. These other areas are much more isolated, and more difficult for emergency personnel to respond in a timely manner, putting the nearby residents, properties, and homes at a greater risk of danger.
