Save Aaliyah from being put into the system!

For over a year, our 7 year old niece, Aaliyah, has been in Utah state custody. As soon as we had found out about this, Will and I stepped in to try to get her here, into a stable and loving home. We have done everything and have went above and beyond what they have asked of us. We have passed all background checks and home visits. We have done some home revisions to be able to move her into our home. We have prepared our children, set up doctors, therapists...everything possible to get her here and make her transition as smooth as possible. We were 100% approved and just awaiting an arrival date. On October 19, 2017, we received a call that Utah has decided to NOT place Aaliyah with family, that she would be better off in a home with no other children, even after she came to visit over the summer and it was amazing, so much in fact, that she begged me on the way back to Utah to miss a flight so we could come back to VA. They want to place her in the system instead of with loving and stable family members. This is not right, she deserves to be with family! Please help us by signing this petition and try to get her with family where she belongs.
