In 1688, King James II of England and Ireland, VII of Scotland, was removed from power in an illicit coup known as the "Glorious" Revolution. The Bill of Rights (1689) declared James II abdicated in absentia after he fled the invading Williamite force. The Act of Settlement (1701) was then passed to protect the Protestant succession by installing the Hanoverian dynasty and barring Roman Catholics from ascending to the British throne.
If these constitutional laws are repealed by UK Parliament, in accordance with the Commonwealth Realms, the heirs of the House of Stuart, of the Jacobite succession, can once again be reinstated to their rightful place as monarchs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The current Jacobite heir, and thus legitimate British monarch, is Duke Franz of Bavaria, of the House of Wittelsbach.

We, the undersigned, representing the Jacobite League of Australia and supporting parties, do hereby request that the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland repeal the constitutional laws known as the Bill of Rights (1689) and Act of Settlement (1701), in the interests of instating Francis II, Duke of Bavaria, of King James II's line, as Monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and her Commonwealth Realms.
