According to the world bank data released on 30, September 2014, 4 out of every ten Kenyans live below poverty line, that would mean they live on less than a dollar per day which is less than a hundred Kenyan shillings.
This can only mean that such individuals have to divide the money they get, which is less than a dollar per day to cater for their clothing, housing, medicine, education and other basic needs. That means, they cannot even save for better future or any investment, it is as if they are doomed.
However, these people have talents; skills and the zeal to work, but the jobs are scarce. This forces them to remain in poverty, yet there is no evidence of systematic effort at the grassroots levels in Kenya to eradicate poverty by tapping these talents through creation of employment.
This should not be the case, the task of eradicating poverty through creation of jobs and innovation should be discussed at the grassroots level where people should be encouraged and supported to innovate solutions for themselves.
Development in Africa has mostly been beneficial to the poor individuals if the projects are run at the grass root level with the inclusion of the local leaders.
There has to be centers in every ward specifically assigned to dealing with the issue of unemployment by engaging the affected people in teaching and training them on how to create wealth and offering solutions.
This is because we cannot create wealth if we cannot offer the goods and services that are on high demand at the moment. And if we have to produce these goods and services then we must have tailored trainings to meet the demands of the market. We have to continually get updated and improve on individual basis.
We have to focus on getting the skills and knowing how we can produce the goods and services on demand even as small groups instead of just waiting to be employed. We need to learn to develop our minds and talents if we have to develop our society. Our skills and services must be useful and needed, they must be on high demand, then we can get paid and live on more than a dollar a day after producing excellent services and goods.
We have to note that about 70 percent of the American GDP comes from people with small businesses; the trend is the same in other fully industrialized countries like, France, Italy and the other G8 countries. This tells us, the wealth of our nation is lying idle in the unemployed Kenyans with businesses ideas, capabilities and untapped potentials who would be businesses owners if they were given the right environment.
The Kenyan youth are fed up of poverty. They want to be given a chance to eradicate extreme poverty through these centers which must therefore be corruption free and supportive to our aspirations at the grass root level and offer mentorship services to the youth so that we can come together in unity through them to build our nation, that is why the institutions must be cohesively run by the EACC and NCIC both which address the issues of corruption and injustices in the nation in order to build sanity.
This is because the two Commissions are mandated with the duty of creating a peaceful, cohesive environment and eradicating Corruption in the country, and for them to excel at this task, patriotism and brotherhood must be revived through caring for the basic needs of the people without which people are likely to disagree and be susceptible to corruption, it is hard for a people to be patriotic towards a government and its institutions if it takes the aspirations of the people for granted.
If every young Kenyan decided to give around 50 shillings every week towards a development project by the youth for the youth, that money will be around 1 billion every week, this is because 2 thirds of the 45 million Kenyan population are the youth, that will mean that if only half of them give out Shs 50, it will be Shs 50 by 20 million people which equals one billion. It is only 50 shillings in the pocket of an individual, but when 20 million of us come together, it is 1 billion.
This money can help to improve and expand the skill centers and even create industries and jobs for us. We are ready to come together, pool together our resources and contribute in development but lack of cohesiveness and integrity in governance is hindering us. That is why we petition the EACC and NCIC to team up and remove these hindrances through the good governance of the skills centers which should act as platforms of bringing us together to cohesively work towards building our nation.
We would like to be able to draft our own projects and look for funding to support these projects at the local and national level majorly to create industries and jobs at the grass root.
Support for this program from the world bank and International Monetary Funds(IMF)would be much appreciated seeing that it is in line with the global millennial goals.

We the Kenyan youth petition the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to work with with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to facilitate establishment of skill centers in every ward in the country.
We also petition the World bank and the International Monetary Funds(IMF) to support these Commissions and other government institutions in implementing this program because it is in line with the global millennial goals, especially in eradicating extreme poverty.
