The skate park at Blyth was built tokenistically 'to give young people somewhere to go'.
In it's design, there was no consultation with these young people and their views haven't been considered. As a result, a sub-standard skate park has been produced where the young people who use it are unhappy, and in danger.
We(the undersigned) would like to see a change.
We'd like to see the local MP, Ronnie Campbell, Blyth Valley Borough Council and Northumberland County Council working together to consult the the people of the Blyth community(the people they're elected to represent), particularly young people on what changes they would like to see.
After this consultation, we'd like to see the council pledge to make as many of the changes that the young people suggest to make the area a better place to use.
