The Santa Cruz Fire Station has been without a Fire Truck, fuel and appliances for a number of years. What this means is that if there is a fire or an accident in the area, the Station cannot respond. They have to wait on a response team from the San Juan area which is 15 minutes away at best!
This is totally and completely unacceptable! I am thus calling on the powers that be whether it be our Member of Parliament Dr. Nyan Gadsby Dolly, or the government in and of itself to assist the Santa Cruz Fire Station in receiving the necessary equipment to better help them serve the community.
We, the undersigned, call on the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to provide the Santa Cruz Fire Station with the necessary appliances, fuel and equipment (such as a Fire Truck, Jaws of Life etc.) in an effort to assist them to better serve the residents of the Santa Cruz area.
