Motor sports are exciting to watch and experience. Whatever the motorsport, we must also be mindful of the environment. Why is it then that most motorsports are exempt from noise pollution laws?
It is time that noise prevention became an integral part of motorsport and that mufflers be fitted to all motorsport vehicles. I am sure the competition will still be just as exciting and interesting experiences for all.
We, that sign this petition, ask governments at all levels around the world, enforce strict noise laws on all motorsport venues and events, and that vehicles that do not comply to the required noise level outputs be banned from competing in any events. The acceptable noise level of normal roadgoing vehicles in each state, province or territory must also be applicable to motorsports vehicles in those regions.
