Background (Preamble):
The European Union has voted to ban the import of all products including fur, meat, and seal oil from Canada. The effect that this will have on the Canadian Economy will be irreversible, and this will effectively in the future shut down a very viable industry.
This will also have a major negative effect on the lifestyles of indigenous peoples in our country who have relied on the sale of seal products for a major portion of there income.
Please sign this petition so that we can have the European Union reverse there decision with regards to this ban.

We the undersigned hereby appeal to the European Union to reverse their decision to ban the import of seal products from Canada, as we feel that this would adversely effect our economy, and the lives of indigenous people in Canada.
