A petition to object to the planning applications currently under consideration by South Derbyshire District Council which would reintroduce rabbit battery farming to the UK.
We believe this practice would be distasteful to the British public, the majority of which think of rabbits as pets and that the demand is not sufficient to justify intensive battery farming which causes great suffering to the animals. We also believe that the fur would be used as a by product to make clothing.

We feel the demand for rabbit meat is not sufficient to justify intensive battery farming which causes great suffering to the animals.
