This petition is to call on the Kern High School District to change all Kern District High Schools to start at minimum of 8:00 am. Recent studied have proven that starting High School at any time earlier than 8:00 am highly effects students in and out of the class room.

We as citizens of Bakersfield California need to do everything we can to ensure our student's future and make sure they are getting the best education possible.

By starting schools earlier than 8:00am the Kern High School District is allowing our students to not work at their best ability educationally.

We, citizens of Bakersfield, CA, call on the Kern High School District to push high school start times to no earlier than 8:00am to better enrich our high school students education.
