ما امضا کنندگان این بیانیه بدینوسیله مخالفت شدید خود را نسبت به قوانینی که جهت سانسور اینترنت در ایران وجود دارد را اعلام می‌داریم.
حکومت ایران بطور مرتب و سیستماتیک حق مسلم آزادی بیان و مبادله آزاد اطلاعات در داخل و با خارج از ایران را سلب کرده و با توقیف و ممنوع کردن نشریات، تلویزیون، مکالمات تلفنی و اینترنت تصمیم به پایمال کردن حق آزادی بیان شهروندان خود را دارد.
ما آزادی بیان و تبادل آزادانه عقاید را گرامی می‌داریم و باور داریم و آنرا از اصول اولیه حقوق بشر انگاشته و تلاش‌های دولت‌ها وشرکت‌های ارتباطاتی را که به برقراری سانسور در ایران کمک می‌کنند، چه در ایران چه در خارج از ایران، محکوم می‌کنیم.
از شما تقاضا داریم با فشار آوردن به دولت‌های متبوع خود و همچنین حکومت ایران ایشان را به برقراری آزادی بیان و ارتباطات ترغیب کرده تا سانسور را تنها به محتویات محکوم شده توسط جامعه بین‌الملل محدود نمایند.

We, the undersigned, hereby express our condemnation of the forthcoming legislation to implement blanket filtering of Internet traffic in Iran.

The Iranian Government has systematically and methodically denied Iranians the ability to speak freely and communicate with each other and with people outside of the country, through suppression of the national press, television, telephone calls and now the Internet. The free expression of ideas and opinions is cherished by Iranians, and we hold this to be a fundamental human right.

We condemn all efforts by governments and telecommunication firms both within Iran and outside of the country who implement restrictions to the free exchange of speech and ideas.

We respectfully request that you place pressure upon both your local and the Iranian governments to reinstate free speech and communication on the Internet, and limit censorship of traffic to material that is universally, unanimously and internationally condemned.
