The Mermaid Inn, Ellington has been closed and put up for sale by RBS. It is Grade II listed and is an attractive building in the centre of the lovely village.
It has been open for business for over 400 years serving the local community and visitors to the area. If it were to be lost permanently Ellington would lose a vital local facility, a key element of the fabric of the village community and a building with a wealth of history.
We the undersigned are concerned for the future of The Mermaid Inn, Ellington and want to keep it open as a public house serving the local community.
