On October 12, 2012 following electronic mass-media, the message about abduction of Russian journalist by Ukrainian birth Anhar Kochneva in Syria appeared.
Anhar Kochneva is the non-staff correspondent of some Russian mass-media and also the active participant of Russian tourist business in Syria. For last one and a half year Anchar has been living and working in Damascus.
Responsibility for kidnapping of Kochneva was taken upon by Free Syrian Army. After abduction cutthroats have extorted from Kochneva’s relatives, and also the Russian, Ukrainian and Syrian governments $50 million for life of girl.
What attempts and actions were undertaken by authorities, it’s not clear to us, but it’s clear that to influence the insurgent army they had no possibility, and one of these days requirements of abductors have been made tougher: according to messages in social media Anhar has only two days! If money is not paid, she will be killed!
As friends and colleagues of Anhar Kochneva we addressed to the ambassador of Syria in the Russian Federation, however, unfortunately, authorities of Damascus cannot help in this case.
As we know, representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine requested to help with release of Anhar Kochneva to representatives of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
All these attempts are however vain, and term of the ultimatum that has been put forward by guerillas, runs out on December 13, 2012.
Not leaving hopes we address to you, to representatives of the governance of democratic countries who have possibilities to interfere with a situation - RESCUE HUMAN LIFE! Use the leverage of influence!
