The Malaysian People's Movement Party (Malay: Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia, commonly abbreviated as Gerakan or less commonly as PGRM) is a political party in Malaysia. The party was founded on 24 March 1968, and it is part of the ruling National Front coalition.
Gerakan was founded as an opposition party and following the 1969 general election, Gerakan won most of the seats in the state legislature of Penang. 1972 Gerakan joined the Alliance Party which later became the coalition called the National Front, where it remains until today.
Satu Hati Gerak Bersama (Forward Together with One Heart), Gerakan is a very neutral parti in Malaysia and have been very progressive in helping Malaysians, especially for folks in Teluk Intan and also small farms holders, where plantations has been our main source of income.
While Malaysian as celebrating the outcome of the GE14, I urge all Malaysian to join me on my call to support Party Gerakan for the contributions that the party have made to us all.
Me too, as citizen of Malaysian and resident of Teluk Intan, has accepted and are happy with the peaceful transition/transfer of power to the new government. However, I strongly think that it is a bad strategy for making us choose between two great leaders who are both credible and dedicated to serve.
The difference is the approach BUT lets looks at the results since 2014 and the accomplishments that Gerakan has made.
