Description/History:
Over the past number of years the Propylon Christmas Party has been held in the Mount Wolseley Hotel in Tullow, Co Carlow. Now this is a lovely hotel and the merriments were excellent, but there were a number of issues.
1. Location: Co. Carlow is one hell of a drive to get to and even worse some people have to loiter around the Mount Wolseley bars and reception area the next day until the merriments have worn off, thus lowering the tone of the hotel.
2. Location: There is a Lack of public transport to Tullow, no train and the busses are never on time, so I hear, and as for getting a Taxi back home it would be cheaper to buy an Audi Quattro.
3. Partners: Initially partners were not invited, and then at a late stage they were included, at a cost. I know that some partners work in the company and we are actively recruiting more, but what about giving the others a chance? Also I hear it is tough to organize overnight child care.
4. Location: See 1 & 2 Above.
Due to these issues I propose the following solution.

There is a large selection of locations, good public transport and infrastructure, excluding the M50, familiarity with the area and it’s about time we showed Dublin how to party!

We, the under signed, request that the 2008 Propylon Christmas Party be held in Dublin City and that our Partners shall also be included in the merriments.
That the location is well serviced by public transport and infrastructure and that the announcement of the party is timed to facilitate the organization of childcare. A nominal cost for partners would be expectable.
